The Wash managed to pull off an important draw yesterday under threatening skies against our neighbours Crouch End Calthorpe.

Chasing 161 to win in 37 overs, the Wash suffered a middle order collapse to be six down with 53 and 22 overs left to play.

Once again Peter Kloss and Stuart Marsh fought back and dug in to deny the opposition an outright victory.

Notable contributions included man-of-the-match Marsh's 4-3-15-4 and a brace of wickets for very little to both Richard Creed and Clinton McHenry.

Batting wise the Marshall was again the fore, htting a valiant 31 not out, while Hilly got 24, and Klossie continued his fine recent form to end with 14 not out and make the game safe.
