Weekend matches are continuing right up to the end of September but I wanted to give you an advance heads up of this year's Club Day on Sunday 19th September. Club Day is where two teams of Washington players play a friendly match with a few quirky rules thrown in. It's an opportunity to bat or bowl against the people you've been playing alongside all season, and for a fun club social event. Please put the 19th September date in your diary - it will probably be a 1.30pm start at our home ground at North Middlesex in Crouch End, N8. We will be presenting any club caps which are due, and also we expect that the new club sweaters will be available on the day for those who pre-ordered them. Last year we had a buffet meal after the game, laid on by North Midds. Those who were there will remember it wasn't the best, so this year we are proposing to go for a meal at a nearby Chinese restaurant. Details to be arranged but I hope as many of you, plus partners, will be able to stay on in the evening for the meal and a couple of drinks. Looking forward to seeing you there! We will ask for numbers closer to the date itself.
