Skipper Max Murrain claimed his 100th wicket for the Wash as his side cruised to victory over Crouch End Calthorpe this Sunday. Wash bowled out their hosts for just 74 in 29 overs, and knocked off the runs for the loss of four wickets. As this suggests, the victory was set up by some quite outstanding bowling. Calthorpe sliped to 0-3 as Luke MItchell (2-3) and Richard Creed (2-9) blew away the top order. Murrain (2-5), Josh Brookes (2-15) and Aftab Akram (1-14) did the rest. Wash took several outstanding catches - Brookes (twice) and Tony Harris pulling off wonder catches. The Kiwi led the run chase, banging 32 before holing out, and he was ably supported by new Dutch wizard, Sjoerd Koekkoek (1), Brian Wightman (2), and Matthew Cragoe (11); Akram (17 not) and Alex Britten (12 not out) wrapped it up.
